Center the mount over the rear sight with the two 6-32 screw holes in the side toward the front of the gun. One revolution will move you 32 inches at 100 yards. If you have to adjust this screw - move in very small increments. If you are shooting low you will need to turn clockwise – high counter-clockwise. You will only need to adjust this screw if the rear of the scope is low or high & you will have to remove the scope to do this. Rotate the mount until the short end of the allen wrench is at the12:00 position.
Now hold the mount in your left hand with the top up & insert the long end of an allen wrench into the set screw being careful not to rotate the screw. Tighten the screw with an allen wrench until you can feel pressure on the flat plate you are holding against the screw hole. To get the set screw flush with the bottom of the mount hold something that is flat up against the bottom of the mount where the set screw will protrude. The 10-32 x 3/8 set screw that threads into the hole where the ring goes needs to protrude from the bottom. The 10-32 x ½ set screw goes in the front & the 10-32 x 3/8 set screw in the rear.
Install the (2) 10-32 set screws into the mount from the top (stop them when they are flush with the bottom). Slide the special nut flat side first all the way to the rear of the slot. It will slide under the ledge where the spring was. Slide the 10-32 special nut supplied with the mount into the slot where the spring was.
Remove the rear sight from the gun by pushing the hinge pin out & then remove the flip up sight & spring. You do not need the other 10-32 x 3/8 set screw for this mount. Insert the 10-32 x ½ set screw into the top hole at the front of the mount & tighten. Insert the 10-32 x ¾ flat head screw into the mount & lightly tighten. Install the two 6-32 x 5/16th socket head screws in these two holes. It is very important that these holes line up to keep from damaging the threads when the screws are installed. Line the 6-32 tapped holes in the mount up with the holes in the side of the receiver. Lower the mount onto the rear sight area.
